How much does the course cost?
At this time, the course is offered to nonprofits at no charge.
Do I need to login at a specific time?
The online course is self serve. You may access it at a time convenient for you, and may pause the course and return later. There is no time limit.
How long does the course take?
There are 10 Lesson Modules that each have 3 or 4 brief chapters. Most will complete the course within 5 hours. Additionally, there is approximately 2.5 hours of tutorial video content, if extra guidance is needed. The videos are optional, and can be bookmarked for future reference.
Who should take this course?
If you are in a leadership position, or have a financial role at a nonprofit, you are a great candidate to take this course. Beginners who are new to accounting; seasoned pros who are looking to brush up on skills; and everyone in between. This is also a good idea for people new to the nonprofit sector looking to better understand nonprofit finance.
I see there are workbooks and templates in the course. May I get a copy?
Yes! You may download any or all of the 20+ financial workbooks and templates. They are offered in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), as well as Google Workspace (Google Sheets and Google Docs).
What happens once I complete the course?
There are quizzes at the end of each lesson, 10 quizzes in total. Once you complete the course and pass the quizzes, you will receive a Certificate of Completion. We encourage you to use this certificate in your fundraising efforts, to show donors and funders that you have a strong understanding of how to manage your nonprofit funds.
